What we look for when awarding our grade
Spelling & Grammar
We will grade you on your spelling, in particular how many words are spelt incorrectly. This could be a mistake or an accidental typo, wither way it looks bad and we can help correct it. We will also check that your grammar is professional.

Readability
We will check if your website is easy to read and information can be found quickly and efficiently. This includes making sure you make the most of paragraphs, layout and proper sentence structure.

Register & Style

This is a problem we see often, companies try to overcomplicate their English to sound more professional however, it often has the opposite effect as it becomes unreadable.

Originality
​
This is another issue we see, all companies seem to have very similar, if not identical, introductions and phrases. If the English is not unique to your company and the phrases are overly generic then your company's individual personality is lost.

Terminology
Commercial customers know what they want and will expect you to as well. If you do not use the correct terms and descriptions you will not fill the customer with much confidence in your ability. This is vital if your company makes bespoke products.
How our report and grade will help to improve you
Once we have sent you the report, we can talk you through a number of options of what we can do to help you. Most likely if we have identified errors in the English you will want to correct them and you can take advantage of our English Writing Service.
